Learning Beyond the Classroom
Beaucroft College opened in June 2023 and is located in the heart of Wimborne, approximately one mile from the main Beaucroft School site. Our town-centre location provides a unique learning environment where every experience, both inside and outside the classroom, becomes an opportunity for personal growth and development.
The college features its own on-site café and community garden, offering students valuable opportunities to develop practical, social and employability skills in real-life settings. Students also work alongside the site manager and within the college office, gaining hands-on experience and developing confidence, responsibility and independence.
Being based in the centre of Wimborne allows students to make the most of their local community. They regularly access local shops, the library and other community facilities, as well as taking part in work placements and travel training. Students are supported to develop the skills needed to travel independently within Wimborne and further afield, including journeys to and from Bournemouth and Poole, helping to prepare them for life beyond education.
